HDL is a one-man business founded in 1996 by Wim Bosch. He worked for 8 years in the Low Temperature group at Delft University in the Netherlands and developed an automated dilution refrigerator and related measurement electronics for specific heat measurements on magnetic superconductors. For 4½ years, he was project and product manager for Philips Semiconductors and for Stork Servex. And for 3½ years, he worked as a project consultant for Senter, an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs that deals with subsidies and funds for technological innovative R&D projects in the Netherlands.
